Bought these for an Alaska trip where we were in and out of Zodiacs. I also used them for hiking and they worked great. Really good quality insert, comfortable, warm and dry. He wore them out in the muddy terrain installing game cameras and simply washed them off in the laundry sink, good as new. He said he doesn't slip as they have good traction and they are comfortable and warm. He is able to wear two pairs of wool socks and we might look into a sole insert in the future. These are going to work great with waders when he goes fly fishing or bank fishing.
