This 1-gallon premium New Zealand Tree Fern fiber substrate offers a naturally gritty, debris-free medium designed for orchids, tropical plants, and reptile terrariums. Its unique capillary action ensures balanced moisture retention while maximizing root aeration. Sustainably harvested and chemical-free, it supports healthy growth and organic living environments.

## Description

This is a more "gritty" or "less fluffy" form of our regular Tree Fern which holds less water and allows more air to enter the mix. It is absolutely fantastic for orchids and aroids as it is both water retentive but also allows a huge amount of air to circulate around the roots. The gritty formula does not hold as much water and allows more air movement into the mixture. Tree Fern fiber can be used straight out of the bag of blended into your existing mix. This product is supplied to us by the premium distributor of New Zealand Tree Fern. It is completely natural and NEVER treated with any chemicals whatsoever. It is also sustainably harvested which was of utmost importance to us while sourcing.
