Its design features don't end there -- features a steel step-on mechanism that allows for smooth openings and closings (no pinched fingers!), and has a removable plastic liner that makes bag changes a cinch.

Two person household and I take the trash out once weekly amd its rarely full. Never had an issue with smells escaping either, if the lid is closed, its fine. Overall one of my favorite buys for my house. Well worth the money.
