The quality was as expected; its plastic, but pretty sturdy. There was a small piece missing so i contacted the seller and received a very quick response. Because they didn't have my specific spare part, I was sent a total replacement from the seller thru amazon. I don't think you can expect any better customer service than that!!Back to the hoop... it floats, you can put water in the base to help (a little) with stability. It can be also be set on the edge of the pool deck - (but then you have to chase balls that missed!). It can be used with or without the backboard. The 4 balls provided are perfect size, (pumped up with provided hand pump), the smaller toddlers can use them as well as adults!.
