The blade came very sharp and slices through meat easily without much effort. I’ve used it for trimming and cutting meat and it handles the job nicely and is fun to use. The weight, balance and size feel good in the hand, which makes it comfortable to use for longer prep sessions. The hammered/forged look on the blade also gives it a really nice appearance. It looks like a much more expensive knife than it actually is, and the handle feels sturdy with a comfortable grip, I’ve left it wet over night and no signs of rust at all. One thing that might be worth mentioning for some people is that the blade is fairly thick and has a bit of weight to it. Personally I like that because it feels durable and strong, but if someone is used to very thin, lightweight kitchen knives it may feel a little heavier at first. It’s more of a sturdy butcher-style knife than a delicate slicer. Overall though, it’s a very good knife for the price. It’s sharp, well built, and does exactly what it’s supposed to do.
