There is quite a bit of coverage on the various inhabitants of Pixie Hollow, especially the Queen of the realm, the beautiful Queen Clarion, and of course, the different categories of fairies, such as Prilla, the mainland-visiting Fairy, Tinker Bell the tinker fairy, etc. It also explains the importance of Mother Dove, and why she is so venerated by the fairies. The illustrations are very pretty and I would say each of the 140 pages in it has at least one picture on it. You can flip to any page and read a short story or history to a child and they can enjoy the photos. Right now my daughter is flipping through the pages, telling me what different things she learned about faeries on each page.
