I like the one-piece lightweight (but durable) plastic construction - very easy to put on and take off and no danger of losing a part or anything ripping or tearing. They cover very well and when I have them on I don't even think about them, they are so lightweight that you forget you're wearing them. As others have said I would not recommend wearing them with shorts (on bare skin), but when worn over pants they are quite comfortable. They probably make my legs sweat, but they would sweat anyway and I'd much rather have damp legs than have a rattlesnake bite. Another benefit that I had not thought about - they provide excellent protection from flying debris, rocks, etc. when weed-eating or mowing. For the money they are unbeatable and I highly recommend. Review: Love them. Just need a small modification at the back because they dig in slightly to the back of my knee. Other than a little trimming they are ideal.
