If you need to do two coats do the first one with no wax then add your wax to the last coat. That way you don't have to sand in between coats. **Q: how much gelcoat will the 4oz treat** A: 4oz will do 1 gallon of gelcoat. You would generally use 1oz per quart or 4oz per gallon. **Q: can you use this with epoxy resin?** A: I use this for gelcoat on a bass boat , Gel coat will not cure to a hard finish unless seal from outside air , it will stay tacky, you mix this in with a batch and during the process of curing it comes to the surface and seals it and allows it to harden properly, I dont think you need it with epoxy resin because it hardens without it . **Q: The top of the can is sealed with a metal cap and says to cut this out. This has never been opened, not even the plastic. I can tell that there's about half of a jar remaining by feel.
