Am wondering how much range with handle bars etc** A: Hi Luke, whilst ours isn’t fitted to a pick up truck as you described; it’s on our RV which does have a completely flat, straight up back. The handle of the rear fitted bike (the one nearest the vehicle) does touch the back of the vehicle if you just strap the bike on using the fixtures that come with this rack, but to get around it, when we lock the bike to the rack (using a security bike lock), we do so through the front wheel, turning it out slightly away from the back of the vehicle, if that makes sense. This stops the handle bar of the rear mounted bike touching the back of the vehicle. It’s a actually a very good bike rack. We’re certainly very pleased with it and the bike doesn’t move at all when travelling. Hope this helps. **Q: Dose the main mast tilt 90 degrees for tailgate access on a van?** A: Very happy with product would recommend it. **Q: When bikes are on the rack will this block licence plate and lights and thus illegal?** A: It may well do depending on the placement of the hitch in relation to your lights and plate. I have a 'spare' number plate for trailers etc. and use this either in the back window or on my roof rack where it will be visible. You may prefer to get a light bar and mount this to the rack or the bikes if you have the appropriate electric socket on your tow hitch.
