These are black/white, labeled Salt/Pepper in words, clear bottoms to see what's inside AND the holes on top show an S and P pattern so no one will accidentally grab the wrong one. The glass bottoms are really glass bottles: the top screws on to glass, not metal so that cleaning is easy and no water can hide under metal to affect the spices. You fill through the screw top, making it easier to fill than the small stopper on the bottom of the old ones.
