This brand didn’t have an offputting smell that the less expensive brands noted in the reviews. We gave the 15, 20, and 25 pound dumbbells as a set to a grandson in high school. He loves them and likes the octagon anti-roll feature plus the chrome hand grip. It was just what he wanted. We couldn’t decide on what kind of dumbbell holder would be best so we will get some input from him and get that for his birthday, But I think that would useful. You don’t want to stub your toe on these bad boys. BTW- the boxes all arrived with some damage to them, but upon opening, there was no damage to any of the dumbbells.
