They work really, really well! *by J***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 August 2016* I was slightly dubious about paying 20 quid for a pair of gloves, but finally I coughed up when couldn't take digging the thorns out of my fingers any more. I've tried lots of other supposedly thorn-proof gloves, as I have to spend too many days dealing with roses, blackberries, hawthorn & my personal bugbear, those big, purple topped, vicious thistles. They especially laugh at leather gloves, and you may as well not be wearing anything at all, as they usually just rip your hands to pieces regardless. However, these gloves were a revelation! They work! They work really, really well! They laughed at the thistles & they laughed at the blackberries. They arrived a couple of days after I ordered them, just in time for a whole day of thistle pulling (before they seeded). Hallelujah, it was a miracle. I spent the whole day thistle-pulling & not a single thorn got through. Then I had to clean out the brambles from a hedge on the way home. I wish I had bought a pair of these years ago, as they would have saved me so much grief over the years - all I can say is that they are worth every penny & I am so glad that I finally bought them. They really do live up to their word.Note: Make sure that you measure your hands before you buy them though (check the "How to measure your glove size" picture), as they are not designed to be baggy. I really didn't think they would protect me from all the horrible brambles I have in my hedging, but they do. And to watch my husbands face when I grabbed a huge handful of stinging nettles was great !I would totally recommend these to all gardeners.The only downside is the colour I chose - light grey - they do get very dirty quickly.
