New details include air mesh shoulder straps for an ultra-comfortable carry, better weight distribution, a new exterior stretch water bottle pocket, and a luggage pass-through strap that easily slides over the handle of a roller bag (like our Allpa Roller Bags).

Review: Great travel pack/carry on. - This is a good pack. I took it to New Zealand and Fiji for a six week trip as my primary carry on. It will fit under the seat, but it is tight. The black TPU coating will scuff, so I am not sure of the benefit. That said the pack is well built and comfortable to wear fully loaded. The laptop sleeve is pretty well padded and can be accessed by itself without having to open the whole bag—a big plus when you know you will be filling the pack. The outside pockets are ok. Because the outer material is kind of rigid you cannot jam pack those pockets. That said I was probably maxing out the pack given my length of trip, and the more full the interior compartment is, the tighter the fit for the exterior pockets. Water bottle sleeve is stretchy and fits larger size bottles. All in all I would recommend this pack. I had also purchased an osprey daylite 26+6, but it didn’t have an external laptop compartment, wasn’t clamshell, is a weird size that sits higher on your back, and wasn’t nearly as padded. It is way cheaper but the Cotopaxi was worth it the extra money to me. I much prefer a vertically oriented luggage pass through, but this pack is probably too tall for that anyway. All in all I would recommend this pack if it meats your specs/needs.
