It is then simply a case of asking Alexa to ‘discover’ the new added lamp assuming as in my case the skill is already in use.The lamp can then be controlled from the app or the Alexa app / device.The phone app provides a high degree of controllability over colour and brightness as well as colour change effects as well as timers and the ability to group lamps together into scenes for example switching all lamps on when arriving home is useful.I haven’t had the new range lamp long but my first impressions of it is that the quality of the light impressive.The colours seem to be more distinct than the earlier lamps and the increased power means it is brighter.I am very happy with the functionality offered by the app the control options and not forgetting the ease of set upI recently had a smart lamp fail. The Lombex team offered outstanding after sales service replacing the defective lamp for me. This gave me good peace of mind and confidence to purchase other lamps. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ SUPERB BULBS....Have purchased FOUR now... *by T***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 10 September 2018* Great Bulbs. I Set mine up in literally five minutes (or less) for each bulb!! IMPORTANT NOTE!!!..... I had problems when RENAMING a couple of bulbs. Despite renaming my standard lamp bulb, Amazon Alexa did have a few issues. To cut a long story short (and to save yourself LOADS of time), NAME EACH BULB with completely DIFFERENT, DISTINT names. I tried LOUNGE1 and LOUNGE2, which caused some confusion by Alexa, despite “Rediscovering all Devices” after renaming the bulbs. Mine are now called simply....LAMP, TALL, WINDOW and LANDING. There is no confusion now and Alexa controls them perfectly EVERY time. Keep the naming simple. Don’t give the bulbs long names. Use a SINGLE WORD NAME if you can (less words to keep saying to Alexa each time too). TIP FOLKS......Check the bulb are reading EXACTLY the same name in both the LOMBEX APP and in Alexa Smart Home. Superb colour choices. I’d like them to be brighter, but they are only 60 Watt equivalent after all. So pleased and impressed by these bulbs and I would (and have) recommend them 100% to others. Just take care with unique, distinctive naming of them. DONT FORGET TO LEAVE THEM SWITCHED ON!! and control them with the solely with the Lombex App, or via Alexa. I always use voice control on them. IF you FORGET and switch them off at the wall or lamp switch, they WILL GO “OFFLINE” and won’t work - THEY MUST BE LEFT SWITCHED ON. I have it in my hallway, so I can turn it off when I get into bed, and if I wake up in the middle of the night and need to go to the kitchen or loo, I can turn on the light before I leave my bed. It's also proved really useful if I am working or out late- I can have the light turned on for me before I get home. It was easy to install and had no problem with the app. The one thing I didn't like was the light arriving broken- well the top was off of the bulb. I managed to snap it back on and so far so good, but it did make me wonder if it would fall off! Still, I'd like to buy more for the home.
