I purchased this item for travel, trusting the Norelco brand. Now, after several trips, each a week or more, I can say this shaver deserves the Norelco label. It's small, solid, fits well in the hand, has great battery life, and shaves almost as good as a triple-header. Where this shaver struggles a little is where the beard is heavy and on the curves around the chin and jawline. It still shaves close but requires more passes with the shaver due to the reduced cutting range and effectiveness of two heads. Nevertheless, if you're willing to patiently add another minute or two to your morning shave, there's no problem. It's certainly more than adequate for travel. Oh, and the battery life deserves a second mention. Good job Norelco.

As other reviews have mentioned, the only drawback is the supplied charging cord, which is terminated in a proprietary Philips connector. This means having to carry around yet another charging cable. This is a problem common to all Philips rechargeable shavers, however, there is a solution! I found a 5V Type-C shaver adapter charging converter by Yinke on desertcart which has a standard female USB-C on one end and a Philips connector on the other, allowing you to use any garden variety USB-C cable. It's small and will fit inside the shaver's travel case. Yinke also makes charger adapters in various voltages for other electric shavers, and I have one for my Philips 9000 shaver as well. Works great and lets you finally "cut the cord!"

I've been using Norelco triple-head shavers for decades and love the product. I purchased this item for travel, trusting the Norelco brand. Now, after several trips, each a week or more, I can say this shaver deserves the Norelco label. It's small, solid, fits well in the hand, has great battery life, and shaves almost as good as a triple-header. Where this shaver struggles a little is where the beard is heavy and on the curves around the chin and jawline. It still shaves close but requires more passes with the shaver due to the reduced cutting range and effectiveness of two heads. Nevertheless, if you're willing to patiently add another minute or two to your morning shave, there's no problem. It's certainly more than adequate for travel. Oh, and the battery life deserves a second mention. Good job Norelco.

This Philips portable travel shaver is a great little traveling companion! It's compact, lightweight, and gives a decent shave. It won't replace your electric shaver for daily use, but it's great for touching up while traveling. As other reviews have mentioned, the only drawback is the supplied charging cord, which is terminated in a proprietary Philips connector. This means having to carry around yet another charging cable. I give this Philips Norelco Portable Shaver 4 stars because it is easy to use and works pretty well. It shaves fast and is small enough to carry in my bag, which is really convenient. Sometimes it doesn’t get the closest shave, but overall it’s a good shaver for everyday use.
