Every time i research this machete for use in the Forest or Woods, jingle Etc. its all very highly reviewed anf recommended. The 7cr13mov steel is heat tempered extremely well. Even a 1095 machete or an expensive $500 machete or a $200 esee machete or knife can break rather easily with a bad heat treatment. These have consistently been excellent!!!! I recommend this machete for jungle, woods desert or tall Grass Land areas of the world. Great machete and with gloves no Real blisters or hot spots. If an issue use Wilson wrap to smooth the rough areas of the hilt. Perfect balance and an amazing chopper.
