It kept my meds under 40 degrees during our 13 hours of traveling. There were no issues going through security at the airport (I notified TSA I had liquid prescription meds and they didn't even take it out of my bag). I loved the peace of mind knowing what the internal temp was during my trip with the thermostat lid and that I could fill the emergency back up insert with ice water if I needed to. However, the main freezer insert was still frozen after 13 hrs. and the internal temp only changed about 4 degrees. Also love that the thermostat doesn't require batteries, so I can always rely on it working. Some of the others I looked at were battery powered, but lacked the ability to replace or charge the batteries.... resulting in a cooler with limited life. This one should last forever.
