It really does help detangler it. I feel like it could be a little bit stronger though because I do feel like the middle is kind of weak. My hair isn’t super thick, but I have a lot of hair so it makes my head a very full head of hair, which a lot of brushes don’t detangle it like it should. however, I do notice that if I try to brush it and it’s not wet, it will pull it hurts and I can’t get through my hair without pain. I am also very tender headed. I have strawberry blonde hair so it makes my scalp very sensitive, so I do use this detangler that I got at the same time with it which with the two of them as a perfect combination, I usually will spray a bit on my head first just to help start detangling the knots, especially if it’s really tangly if I haven’t really brushed my hair out thoroughly in a few days and then as I’m brushing it out, I re-wet the area. I’m working with to make sure it’s not dry and it seems to help the first time I used it. I just put the detangler all over in it and by the time I got to the other side of the hair, it was already starting to dry and pull. It might work well with water as well. I haven’t really tried that yet so I don’t know how it is with just water, but this combination is perfect for my hair.
