Even if you don't do laundry exclusively "by hand", every family should own a washboard for lifting those really tough stains. Unique front "spiral crimp" glass surface is truly effective for dirt removal. Sanitary soap drain removes dirty water from clothes. Attractively printed decorative nameplate on front - back left blank. You can use these for decorative purposes but they are made to stand up to daily use. Glass washboard outlasts all others . Spiral textured front and smooth back glass surface stands up to harsh cleaning. Fully mortised frames. Head is "lock cornered" like fine furniture . Mini (pail size). 18"H x 8-1/2"W, 2 lb. Glass wash surface: 8-1/2"H x 7-1/4"W. USA made . Please note the small size of this item. It may be too small for large clothing items and large loads of laundry, but is perfect for small garments and smaller loads, or even just for decoration. Review: Glass Washboard are the best - The Best. I've only had the metal washboards in the past and they tend to be rougher on the cloth, more prone to tear and rip the threads... and they rust over time. This glass is much more smooth. The front has ridges with raised lines at angles. The back has less raised ridges but smooth and is more delicate on the cloth. With these better options than metal, I feel the whole hand washing experience is enhanced and feel better about preserving the cloth integrity and the cleaning ability. I've used the Fels-Naptha Bar and it's done an excellent job. Makes me wish that I should have started with a glass washboard in the beginning... but they are not so easy to get. My next objective is to get the larger size glass washboard.

A: 18" high by 8 1/2" wide and weighs 2 lbs

**Q: Is it possible to use as a musical instrument,  like a metal washboard is**
A: I don’t imagine the sound would be clear or carry far.

**Q: Is this just one mini washboard?  Because the picture shows two, and the description says washboards (plural).**
A: Yes, it is one washboard. I wouldn’t necessarily think of it as small. It’s big enough to scrub clothes with no difficulty.

**Q: What is the Rub size or glass size?**
A: It is small/ mini  wash board.  7 x 8.5 is the glass size.   This is not like the old fashion larger boards. best I could find that is new.  Ordered others from Ebay and threw them out.  They were old and dirty.
