It dwarfs out other mugs in the cabinet, which are all oversized. It microwaves well without getting hot to the touch. I haven't tried washing it in the dishwasher. I just put a squirt of soap into it and it after I use it. The opening is a bit awkward, so I can't get my hand in it to scrub it. Top is pretty wide. Looks small in the pic but it’s not at all. Please buy this cup it is amazing quality! **Q: This may be a ridiculous question but does the mug extens through the tail?
