The cap does kind of hit your nose as you drink, but if you position the cap just right, you can get it to catch under the handle of the bottle and it will hold it back. However, I made a boo-boo when ordering and got $4 off when I placed my order, but had to cancel the first order because I was too antsy and the selected the wrong shipping. I submitted a new order to get it next day, and lost the $4 because the cancelation of the first order was not complete. My fault! The thing I do not like is tipping the bottle up to get a drink. I mean, I don't mind it, but if I need a drink while driving it means I can't see the road well for a few seconds. I did buy a bottle that has the straw and it was absolutely awful. It was hard to get water through, which means it's hard to get flavor through. This bottle does not have the straw, and it very easy to get water through, but you have to tip it up. That's my only gripe, and not a consideration for my rating.
