In checking around at some Mazda forums back when the car was new, other than the bottles of factory Mazda oil available at the dealer counter, this oil seemed to be one of the consensus picks for SkyActiv engines. The factory Mazda oil has a molybdenum additive and is much more expensive than this Mobil 1. Some suggested getting a molybdenum additive to go with the Mobil 1, however I've never done this. (Note, if you go to a Mazda dealer for a synthetic oil change, it will almost certainly come from a giant tank of Castrol synthetic or whatever. Ask 'em.
