Only fished with it once and my line spools off lovely for casting. Two things though, when winding in there is no clutch or 'ratchet'. So it winds in completely silent and very freely. Not really a problem but just different to all other fly reels I've used. And even though I only put a small amount of backing line on, it just abouts fits my fly line on before it gets a bit tight on the bit that attaches to your rod. Obviously with it being a large Arbor you're not going to get huge amounts of line on it but just be weary of this.
