Leather, zipper, latch, strap, shin protection are of descent quality. They will hold up for more than a year of racing.The boots size runs a bit small and narrow, but that's understandable considering they are designed for racing. I did anticipated this, so I ordered a half size large than my normal shoe size. The half size larger still fits me snug when wearing a pair of athletic socks.I know shoe sizes are measured in both, length and width. Therefore increasing shoe length doesn't automatically increase shoe width. Though added shoe length provides ME with a little more comfort for narrowly designed shoes.The boots cushion is good, I wore them all day at home to help "break them in." The bottom of my feet never hurt, although they are not made walking long distance. (they are racing boots)I'm very pleased overall with the boots.
