One for each color and each fixture color coded! No mess - I had cartridges refilled at Costco they drilled a hole on top - they should use this method. The instructions were clear and concise. I used to refill years ago and gave up because of the drilling and mess - the fixture refills from bottom with an excellent seal that prevents leakage. My kit was sold by Printronics - thanks. I just finished refilling 9 (nine) cartridges in less than 30 minutes and only three fingers have ink spots. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars color ink easy to refill but not for high quality photo printing *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on January 12, 2011* Wanted to be more green and save some money by trying out ink refill kits. The youtube video and the instructions were easy enough to follow and no needle is required for refilling the HP 6500 printer cartridges. I was able to print about 30 to 35 average quality color 3.5x5 photos with 2 rounds of color refills. After that, the cartridges began failing - creating lines in the images no matter how many times I cleaned the print heads. Any further attempts to refill the ink in the same cartridge would be a waste of ink, money and time.I've read that ink cartridges are meant to fail after one or two refills; black ink refills yield better results because it's just black and not colors, shades and such. This ink refill kit was fine for printing out simple, single color logos for letterhead stationery.I'll be buying a new OEM set of color cartridges and use the leftover InkTec colors for refilling them when I've used up the originals. Just a caveat that any refill method (including re-manufactured cartridges) will not make them like the original .. less ink pages per cartridge and lower color quality. However, I think the savings may be worth it if I just refill the used up cartridges only one time - at least I'd get to use OEM cartridges twice before disposing of them.One other note: there was an odor with this InkTec brand refill ink. Not terrible but wanted to mention that.Still, I'd give 3.5 stars because it's the manufacturer's fault for not offering greener options and more reasonable pricing for their replacement ink, and Inktec kits can be a workable alternative if you're not expecting high-end photo prints. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY *by S***S on Reviewed in the United States on March 3, 2010* This product does not work. Read the fine print, the company will not refund your money because most consumers do not install the product properly, this is a statement from a rep for the company. I will admit this is my fault for trying to go cheap, the ink is like water.
