The amount of force it delivered to the staples makes it for the staples to penetrate hard wood as well as tough plastics. It can work on dining chairs. **Q: Will this work with T50 staples? They don’t seem to fit into the loading mechanism. Too wide.** A: I would not try to use any other staples than those specified by the manufactures.
