After about 6 months of regular use and washes, two of the four I had were ready for the bin. Will buy again. I just figured it out...first you thread the plastic piping through the hem and join it together (one end fits into the other). Then centralise the seat cover in the well of the seat with the un threaded hem on the outer edge, pull outwards and over to cover the seat. We have 4 of these covers and cannot live without them in winter. Last well too. **Q: Would this product fit a square toilet seat ?** A: Not sure, but there is a plastic band inside. If you buy one try it out if it doesn't fit you can always send it back and get a refund. Or email Amazon helpdesk and they will pass on your email to the suppliers.
