My 9 yr old started a habit appliance along with a palate expander ( Orthodontic treatment) and she continued to use suck her thumb through all of this treatment (setting back tx) Thumbs would be swollen, and mouth hurting... this did not stop her, so I took an extra step and invested in the TGuard for both hands. It stayed on 247, only removed to shower, for 6 weeks and broke her habit! She's happier, handles her emotions better, not sick all the time, and her Orthodontic treatment is now working- smile/bite is coming along beautifully.
