I bought the mat and put it on my bedroom carpet and layers down. It was initially uncomfortable but after a minute or two actually felt good. I have Sonos in the room and put on some relaxing music and stayed there for about 15 minutes. I did feel better and increased the duration to 30 minutes the next few days. My back did seem to get better quicker but I found the best aspect was mental stress relief.
