Review: The G203, But Without the Wires! - I've been using the Logitech G203 for years as my go-to FPS gaming mouse, so I was a little hesitant about switching to the G305. Thankfully, it feels very similar, just without the wire! The only thing I noticed was that the G305 felt a bit palm-heavy with a standard AA battery. I used one of those AAA-to-AA adapters with a lithium AAA battery and it made a surprisingly big difference to the balance. Once I'd done that, it felt much better in the hand and was much more on par with the G203 in terms of weight. I've also noticed absolutely no additional latency or lag compared with a wired mouse, which was probably my biggest concern. It feels responsive and accurate for FPS gaming, just with the added freedom of not having a cable dragging across the desk. I've always liked Logitech's gaming mice and the G305 hasn't changed that. Great mouse, great software, and now I get the performance I want without the wire. I'd happily recommend it.
Review: Smooth, comfortable and reliable. Its lasted me six years - It's been the best mouse Ive had (I'm a 44 year old gamer). I bought it in 2020 and its kept up fine. Only recently started to have sensor and drop out issues. But its a bargain. I'm looking for something lighter to replace it, otherwise Id probably buy another one. With the AAA to AA plastic adapter, the weight is approx 89 g but you have to buy this separately. I'm now looking for something <50 g.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ubeatable for the price
*by S***L on 31 May 2026*

I've been using the Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED for both gaming and everyday computer use, and it continues to impress me. It manages to deliver the performance of a premium gaming mouse without the premium price tag. The LIGHTSPEED wireless technology is the standout feature. The connection is incredibly responsive, and I honestly can't tell the difference between this and a wired gaming mouse. Whether playing fast-paced shooters or strategy games, tracking remains smooth and accurate with no noticeable lag or dropouts. The HERO sensor performs exceptionally well, providing precise movement and consistent tracking across a wide range of sensitivity settings. It's easy to customise the DPI to suit different games and tasks, making the mouse versatile for both gaming and productivity. Comfort is another strong point. The mouse has a simple, ergonomic shape that works well for extended gaming sessions. It's lightweight enough to move quickly but still feels solid and well-built in the hand. The buttons have a satisfying click, and the side buttons are positioned conveniently without being easy to press accidentally. Battery life is excellent. Using a single AA battery means you don't have to worry about charging cables, and it lasts much longer than I expected between replacements. Pros: Fast and reliable LIGHTSPEED wireless performance Accurate HERO sensor with excellent tracking Lightweight and comfortable design Outstanding battery life Responsive buttons and scroll wheel Great value for money Cons: Uses disposable batteries rather than a rechargeable battery No RGB lighting for those who prefer a more customisable gaming setup Overall, the Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED is one of the best wireless gaming mice available in its price range. It delivers excellent performance, impressive battery life, and reliable wireless connectivity in a comfortable and lightweight package. Whether you're a casual gamer or a competitive player, it's an easy recommendation.
