I took my notebook apart to put in the wrong fan I first purchased and saw that it would not fit, so I put the notebook back together and purchased the correct fan. Interesting, the correct fan is on the shelf because after being removed and replaced, the original fan has not failed, except for one morning. I suspect that the connector for the fan is prone to becoming disconnected. **Q: Is there a list of compatible laptops?** A: Not that I know of, I used the number on the sticker to order the replacement.
