There are half the weight of the boots I wore out from Lands End. They were comfortable from the first moment I put them on. No break-in. The soles have excellent tread. The upper leather is very soft and moves to relive pressure points. On the first day, I wore them from morning until after dinner and they remain comfortable. The size chart is accurate. I usually but a 10.5 US but the chart recommended an 11. I went with the 11 and the boots fit perfectly. I have only had these boots for a couple of weeks and they have exceeded all my expectations. Per my husband, they are very comfortable and not so heavy that your legs get tired from wearing them all day. They look great with jeans. He has the olive nubuck color and he says they are waterproof and comfortable around the ankle, too....no rubbing. He didn't even need a "breaking in" period. Get these boots if you get the chance!
