It is as good as any sunscreen, but unfortunately no sunscreen alone will prevent you from pigmenting in the sun if you already have melasma. You will have to wear a broad rim hat in combination with sunscreen and reapply often to prevent further pigmentation. What is good about this sunscreen is that it is a physical sunscreen mainly using zink , which is the best physical filter and it is fragrance free. Fragrance can irritate the skin and irritation will trigger melasma. After you get over the slight smell and remembering to shake it Everytime you use it, it's a good lightweight spf. The only problem I have with it is it does leave a slight white cast.
