They just suit me. The Kizer Muskrat is a worthy addition. I will compare it, here, with my two other go-to edc's: the Artisan Sea Snake and the Esee Izula. All are full tang and I have them set up for scout carry. The Muskrat blade is 154CM, which is still on of my favorite blade steels. Holds an edge, sharpens well, tough, resists corrosion. The blade is as thick as the Izula, but with the clip point, it is pretty dumpy. It took a bit to hone in an edge I liked, but it will be robust. The design is sleek with the smallest grip, but I like the shallow micarta scales. I added a short paracord snake tail, but my little finger rests on the handle. It comes with a fine kydex sheath, but no attachment (I added loops). The Sea Snake blade is Atrisan's proprietary RPM9 powder steel. I like it. Seems similar to my Leek's Sandvik 14c28n. It has the longest handle (not including the extra choil!) and very smooth g10 scales. The narrowest blade makes it a fine slicer, but the wonderful Wharncliff tip could break if used improperly. It comes with a fine kydex sheath, but no attachment (I added loops). The Izula is 1095 carbon steel, so has a protective coating to resist rust and corrosion. It has thick blade steel, but a nice straight grind with the deepest blade so slices well and maintains strength. The added micarta scales give it the thickest grip. I did not like the included sheath, so found a leather one (bringing its upgrades to $35). The Muskrat, as the clip point, has earned its place in my top trio, but all considered - its price at $45 on sale (the Sea snake *was* a bargain at $39, now $47, and the Izula as the sole US made at $65 [plus $35 for upgrades]) and its strong but dumpy blade, keep it from an overall trophy, yet it is a great edc and worth it. I doubt another clip point will knock it off the podium anytime soon. Review: Solid, Practical, and Ready for Anything and perfect size for EDC - I've carried a lot of knives over the years, and the Kizer Muskrat Fixed Blade Knife stands out as one of the most reliable I’ve used. The 3.15-inch blade is just the right size for a wide range of tasks, from slicing through rope to preparing food while camping. The full tang construction gives it a solid feel, and it’s built to withstand tough use without losing its edge. The handle is well-contoured and fits comfortably in my hand, even after extended use. I appreciate the balance between weight and portability – it's sturdy without being cumbersome. Plus, the leather sheath it comes with is rugged and keeps the blade secure during travel. Whether I'm out hiking, working on a project, or just need a reliable everyday carry knife, the Muskrat gets the job done. It’s practical, durable, and definitely a knife I trust to hold up in any situation. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quality fixed blade. ## Features - Razor Sharp Knife Blade: Crafted from 154CM steel, the blade of Kizer Muskrat fixed blade knife is well-balanced, offering sharpness, hardness, edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance - Argyle Pattern Micarta Handle: Fixed blade knife with sheath - The grippy micarta handle of edc fixed blade knife provides a comfortable and secure grip - Everyday Carry Knife: The perfect fixed blade hunting knife for outdoor enthusiasts; Camping knife with the high-quality brown kydex sheath, you can retain this sharpness for longer - Small Fixed Blade Knife for EDC: Suitable for a wide range of outdoor activities, from hunting and camping to survival and everyday use, making it one of the best camping fixed blade knives and hunting knives with sheath - Fast After-sale Service: Kizer knives and tools provide a lifetime service against defects in material and workmanship; Kizer service center provides fast response to take care of your requests ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0DC6FW9F1 | | Age Range (Description) | Adult | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Best Sellers Rank | #35,506 in Sports & Outdoors ( See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors ) #40 in Fixed Blade Hunting Knives | | Blade Edge | Flat | | Blade Length | 3.15 inches | | Blade Material | Stainless Steel | | Blade Shape | Clip Point | | Blade Type | Clip Point | | Brand | Kizer | | Brand Name | Kizer | | Color | Brown | | Customer Package Type | Standard Packaging | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 280 Reviews | | Hand Orientation | Ambidextrous | | Handle Material | Argyle pattern micarta | | Included Components | Sheath | | Item Length | 6.1 inches | | Item Shape | Linear | | Item Weight | 2.2 ounces | | Manufacturer | Kizer | | Model Name | Muskrat | | Model Number | 1064C1 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Orientation | Upright | | Part Number | 1064C1 | | Product Care Instructions | Keep blade dry, clean after use, oil occasionally, store in dry place, and use sheath for protection | | Recommended Uses For Product | Camping, EDC, Hiking, Hunting | | Reusability | Reusable | | Size | 3.2" | | Special Feature | Full Tang, Lightweight, Non Slip | | Special Features | Full Tang, Lightweight, Non Slip | | Style | 154CM Blade+Brown Micarta Handle | | Theme | Sport | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Age Range (Description):** Adult - **Blade Material:** Alloy Steel - **Brand:** Kizer - **Color:** Brown - **Handle Material:** Argyle pattern micarta - **Included Components:** Sheath - **Model Name:** Muskrat - **Recommended Uses For Product:** Camping, EDC, Hiking, Hunting - **Special Feature:** Full Tang, Lightweight, Non Slip - **Style:** 154CM Blade+Brown Micarta Handle ## Images ![Muskrat Fixed Blade Knife, Argyle Brown Micarta Handle, 1064C1 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71uaFtAVe2L.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice edc clip point. *by M***R on October 26, 2025* I seem to be developing a collection of edc fixed blades.
