I also think it would have been better if the time digits were coloured such as green or blue making it less glaring than bright white. The clock will also show the date and month in green (unless you have the alarm set) and the temperature in blue. You can choose between C and F. In default mode the clock will show the seconds but you can change this to show the day of the week instead if you wish. This mains clock has a button battery back-up in the event of a power cut retaining all settings although the screen will go blank while the power is off.
