VE928SE, Wide Angle Lens, Compatible with Sony E Mount, 9mm Focal Length, F2.8 Aperture, MF Manual Focus (No Autofocus) Built entirely of aluminum, its very moderate weight and small footprint go hand in hand with the format of a hybrid camera for photo and video use (easy balancing on a stabilization system). Review: Super Wide, Super Image - Always wanted a super wide angle lens for my crop sensor Sony A6000, I have been using the Samyang 12mm which is a super sharp lens but large amounts of distortion, but when I read about the low distortion the Laowa 9mm, I thought it best to give this a try. Well so far Im delighted with this lens. I've uploaded some of my shots in the last two weeks since purchased. Top Tip, use at f5.6 because everything is in focus so you really don't need to focus much after that. I used a step up filter adaptor to avoid any chance of vignette. And yes - virtually no distortion compared to any other wide or ultra wide angle lens I have used. Oh and the lens was ordered on a Tuesday arriving next day. Go try it with confidence I'm selling my Samyang 12mm now!
Review: The image created by this lens was much softer on the Right of the frame - The lens appears well built and it has very little distortion and CA as claimed. However the copy I received was produced images that were very soft on the right hand side of the frame affecting about 25% of the image.

**Q: What is Laowa 9mm field of view angle?**
A: About 185 degrees, which is the equivalent to  13.5mm focal length on a 1.5 crop sensor camera.

**Q: Does this work on full frame sony alpha? i notice the 12mm laowa sony-e is said to work without vignetting**
A: This should work perfectly on the Sony a series.

A: No it does not cover the full frame, only APSC sensors

Always wanted a super wide angle lens for my crop sensor Sony A6000, I have been using the Samyang 12mm which is a super sharp lens but large amounts of distortion, but when I read about the low distortion the Laowa 9mm, I thought it best to give this a try. Well so far Im delighted with this lens. I've uploaded some of my shots in the last two weeks since purchased. Top Tip, use at f5.6 because everything is in focus so you really don't need to focus much after that. I used a step up filter adaptor to avoid any chance of vignette. And yes - virtually no distortion compared to any other wide or ultra wide angle lens I have used. Oh and the lens was ordered on a Tuesday arriving next day. Go try it with confidence I'm selling my Samyang 12mm now!

After buying this lens for real estate photography, I ended up selling all my micro four thirds stuff and upgrading to an A7iii and the sigma 14-24mm. The crop factor of the m43 cameras are 50%, so too tight for most real estate pictures, but for videos, I'd say this is a perfect lens. Very little distortion.
