I started using it Six weeks after my surgery. I had shoulder surgery. And I bruise and scar very easily. I started with a very small light. Amount, because my skin is also very sensitive. It only used it one time a day for the first two days. I had no reaction and have used it two times a day, since. It is very lightly scented. But once you're done rubbing it in, the smell is gone and it is a pleasant smell. A little goes a long way! It does take a few minutes to rub in. But that is a good thing, because you do need to be doing a gentle massage to break up the scar tissue for it to heal appropriately. No sticky residue, no roll off.And it dries clear. You can apply sunscreen over it with no problems once it completely dries. I am now nine weeks. Post opp. I've been using the product for three weeks at least once a day twice when I remember. But even with that, it has, who really made a big difference!! The shallower one you can barely see and the deeper one is fading fast! The first day it immediately took away the redness.
