Fully articulated 1/6 scale collectible action figure from Dragon in Dream Grossdeutshland 16. Kompany Peter Greim 2006 Anniversary Edition.The Grossdeutschland Division was an elite Heer combat unit of the Wehrmacht. The Grossdeutschland was considered to be the premier unit of the German Army and as such it was one of best-equipped unit of the German Armed Forces, receiving equipment before all other units.The roots of the unit go back to 1921 when the guard units of the city of Berlin (Wachregiment Berlin) was created. It became later Infantry Regiment Grossdeutschland. The Regiment GD saw action in France in 1940. It was attached to Panzer Group 2 in the opening phases of Barbarossa, being nearly annihilated in the vicious fighting outside of Moscow in late 1941. On the last day of February 1942, Rifle Battalion GD (all that was left of the original Regiment) was disbanded and two battalions formed a new GD Regiment out of reinforcements arriving from Neuruppin. The Regiment moved to Orel after a period in the front line, and on 1 Apr 1942, arising out of the need for new motorized formations for the summer offensives of 1942 This exceptional figure comes to you mint in the original display carton and has never been removed. 1:6 Scale authentic collector figure,Height:12",Highly articulated fully poseable action body,realistic head sculpt, all gear is precisely reproduced in 1/6 scale, removable uniform plus many accessories
