I purchased this for my granddaughter's 5th birthday. I don't think I even realized there were two crowns in this purchase - the first pleasant surprise. When I discovered the second crown, I decided to make it a "mother/daughter" thing, packaging them together in a box with two halves, one labeled "Queen Mamma" and one labeled "Princess Katie". They had a blast with them. Both crowns had beautiful "jewels" that had LOTS of sparkle. The gems seemed to be securely attached and the metal strong - almost too strong. - which is the only negative comment (not enough to lose a star). The shape of the crown's headband had small combs to hold it securely in her hair but the band needed a little bending to make it fit the shape of my granddaughter's head and the metal was almost impossible to bend. The adult sized crown (second surprise) was a little larger and a little more ornate. There wasn't a headband or the combs to attach it so I threaded ribbons through the loops at each end of the crown. That didn't work to well due to the weight of the crown but that didn't matter to the girls. It really needed some type of clip to make it more secure. Overall, this purchase was MUCH better than I expected.
