A: Yes

A: I use diluted white vinegar edible/cooking quality

**Q: How do we find the Serial number?**
A: Mine has a sticky label attached to the underside of the base unit bearing a six digit serial number. Hope this helps.

**Q: Is the plug for the UK?**
A: The one I ordered had a uk plug

Used for 10 years, still works as good as when I bought it. Only issue I've had is I broke the container years ago and now use a large glass dish to funnel into a demijohn, rather than buying a replacement container. You'll want some extra filters for sure. The water is distilled (~0 ppm) and it doesn't really taste of anything, to add some minerals back in I typically add a little Celtic sea salt. I'm sure other people have different solutions to add some minerals back.
