I am a huge Phil Hale fan. I wanted to get his "Many Moods" mono-print book, but it cost something like $300. This seemed like the next best option, and while it has some of the Phil Halisms we love and adore, it's a very short pocket book containing what looks like mostly throw-away pieces from Hale's catalog. So, it's still good in that it has some Hale paintings, but only the bearest minimum and for that i bequeath it only 3 stars

This book is not worth the money. I was very disappointed when I seen how few reproductions of paintings there were and also how small if any. Your best bet is to buy GOAD if you really want to get a sense of Phil Hale's work. This book just doesn't add up to much, the book is too small and the quality is mediocre, don't waste your time.
