Mine burned up and I found out that the warranty I purchased from Amazon won't help at all. They said find a repair shop that will do it and have it repaired. Then send the receipt for reimbursement! No shops will repair this item in my area. **Q: Can the earthwise gs70015 15-amp electric garden chipper/shredder shred bamboo?** A: I am currently disposing of 200 or more bamboo canes with this GS70015. Unfortunately it will not mulch the branches and leaves, but it works amazingly well on pruned canes. I am going through the pile I have and trimming the branches and leaves into a yard waste bin, then running the canes through the chipper. Although this is a time consuming method, it is working well. The chopped material will be great for mulching the yard, as it is generally pretty fine sized. Dried bamboo is pretty hard, and about a quarter of the way through the pile, the unit stopped pulling the canes into the chopper. I reversed the blades, and it is pulling the canes in and chopping them again. I am ordering new blades to have on hand, plus I will try to sharpen the original blades once the second side dulls. If this unit could chop up the branches and leaves, it would be fantastic, but after spending several hours working my way through my pile, I am satisfied well enough. I don't think there is anything that would do a great job with the branches and leaves. The branches are very skinny, but very tough. I tried using my gas powered weed eater to mulch up the branches and leaves in my yard waste container, and it didn't do a thing. **Q: Can it shred succulents?** A: The shredder has not been tested on succulents.
