I had been taking another Berberine supplement since February of this year in an effort to support my weight loss journey and lower my cholesterol. I had read that Berberine would help curb cravings and appetite and possible help reduce cholesterol and mine was quite high. I can't say it curbs appetite all that much, but it does seem to help with sugar cravings. I take it in the morning with breakfast. I noticed a significant improvement when I switched to this brand over the one I had been taking. No upset stomach, I'm pretty sensitive to things in general. Good energy, much better appetite control and the quality is far superior to the one I was taking before. It's a little more expensive, but to me worth the slightly higher price due to better absorption and noticeable effects. I have lost 50 lbs and my high cholesterol levels are now all within normal limits (although I was also put on a low dose statin for 8 months this year, which I have been able to stop as my cardiologist was shocked by the significant reduction in my cholesterol levels). I've wondered if the Berberine worked with the statin to help rapidly reduce my cholesterol levels although losing 50 lbs most certainly contributed as well. It was enough that I decided to test it, hoping it wasn’t these pills because they do seem to work. I quit taking them for a couple days and my stomach was better. Then I took one pill instead of two and within a half hour the stomach upset was back.
