After using them for a couple of weeks, I was doubting their accuracy. I was always reading my soil was dry even when it appeared damp and was moist to the touch. My plants call for moist soil, so I wanted to see what it would take to get to moist. I put the tester in extremely wet soil, where I could see the water in the soil and it still barely measured the water. I tried them in a glass of water, they finally measured moist. At that point, you’d think they’d measure wet.
