No Western instruments or Western jazz or pop transplants, just raw vocals and one-string fiddle, recorded in Germany for the Odeon label in the very early 20th century. If you like the Secret Museum series and Excavated Shellac, this is for you.
Review: Old Ethiopian Historical Music - Received the CD safely packaged and on time. For historical music lovers of Ethiopia, it is very interesting. But for someone who simply wanted an Ethiopian music, I would not recommend it, the sound is so old, it is not clear sounding.

Not every fan of the Ethiopiques series will like this two-disc set, but I love it.
