On the bench, the Ultra is reasonable for most spectrum analyzer applications, but not the precision of commercial equipment. With the included 25-watt attenuator, you can measure the RF performance of your handi-talkie. If you dial-down the output of your mobile or base rig or add a larger attenuator, you can do the same. Have RF noise in your home or shack from a wall-wart or LED light, plug in the included whip antenna and go on a fox hunt for noise. This is a great tool for the shack and workbench for the intermediate technical person. This unit is everything I expected with sufficient cables and accessories to get started. Battery life is good. The app is good as well. Spend some time with the SA and the app. It's worth it.
