I never thought to use it to replace my big old signal generator in my ham shack. I was taking an advanced electronics course at a local college, and was using my old signal generator for class projects. Then my old signal generator bite the dust! So, I pulled out this pocket signal generator and presto, I was in business again! Great pocket device, my only complaint is that the instructions need to be better. You must push the Run button to generate any signal. For the little money I spent on this generator it was worth every penny. The signals were clear until the very high frequencies.
