I feel it has something to do with the fit and difficulty holding the split ring, the PA hook and cage together while trying to slid the lock into the hole. If it had a fixed ring it would be perfect. I like the cage and PA hook just wish it was easier to close. Haven't been able to get it closed but once but it was comfortable to wear. It will take a little to adjust to the PA hook.
