**Q: It looks like this piece lacks precision-when the seconds hand points to 12 o'clock the minute hand does NOT point precisely to minute mark?**
A: Adjust the minute hand. They are not locked to each other. This is the nature of all analog watches.

**Q: is this watch silent ?**
A: Unless you press the watch face to your ear and are in a relatively quiet space, you can't hear it.  2" away from my ear, it's silent.
