Using 4", 6", and 8" hole saws, its went right through wood. With masonry bits has went through stone with no problem. Performs well with 5ah battery also. LED light can be put on 20 min timer and be used as a work light in dark attics or crawl spaces( does a pretty good job!). A little heft with the 8amp battery attached, but that only helps stabilize while you’re putting the heat to lumbar, metal or old school concrete. This drill is now easily my favorite of my collection of Dewalt drills. It has so much torque you feel like Thor when you pick it up, knowing it’s about to go thru whatever you need it to. This deal thru Amazon with the 8amp battery and fast charger is an absolute steal.
